Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) is a non-contact fitness program created for people with Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s can affect movement, balance, and confidence. RSB uses simple boxing-style exercises to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay more independent.

This program is helpful for anyone with Parkinson’s—whether newly diagnosed or living with it for years. Rock Steady Boxing can help you:

  • Improve balance and posture
  • Gain strength and flexibility
  • Move more confidently and safely
  • Reduce your risk of injury
  • Stay socially and mentally active 

Our trained coaches offer encouragement and one-on-one support throughout each class

What to Expect in a Rock Steady Boxing Class

Benefits of Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s

Classes last about 90 minutes and include:

  • A warm-up with stretching and voice exercises
  • Balance training and gentle group games
  • Easy-to-follow boxing drills using gloves, bags, and mitts
  • Exercises to help with daily movements
  • A cool-down with breathing and relaxation

You don’t need any boxing experience—just a desire to improve your health in a friendly, supportive setting.

Janesville Location:
2100 E. Milwaukee St

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 PM
     
  • Thursdays at 10:00 AM
     

Beloit Location:

Big Hill Center, 1201 Big Hill Rd.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 PM

Pricing and Equipment

Pricing and Equipment

  •  $12 per class
     
  • 10-class punch card: $120 (plus 1 free class)
     
  • Gloves available for purchase at a discount or borrow from us

Parkinson’s Support Group of Rock County

SOL Fitness also hosts a monthly support group in Janesville for people with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers.

  • When: First Wednesday of each month at 2:00 PM
     
  • Where: Oak Park Place, 700 Myrtle Way, Janesville, WI
     
  • Facilitator: Connie Udell
     

Each meeting covers helpful topics—from medical updates to fun and social activities—designed to support the Parkinson’s community.
